BLACK WALNUT BREAD 
2 1/2 c. flour
3/4 c. brown sugar
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt

Combine above ingredients in bowl. Then add: 1 1/4 c. buttermilk 2 eggs

Beat at slow speed until blended. Add: 1/2 c. (4 oz.) glace green cherries 1/2 c. black walnuts, chopped

Variation: You can use dates or raisins in place of red or green cherries. Stir all ingredients. Pour in greased loaf pan. Bake at 350 degrees for about 1 hour.
