6 WEEK RAISIN BRAN MUFFINS 
1 c. shortening
3 c. sugar
4 eggs. beaten
1 qt. buttermilk
5 c. flour
2 tsp. salt
10 oz. Raisin Bran cereal
Nuts, if desired and extra raisins

Mix in order given, alternating flour and buttermilk. Bake at 400 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes. Can make only 1/2 of recipe. Dough keeps in refrigerator 6 weeks. Just bake when you want. Yields: 16 dozen miniature or 8 dozen regular muffins. Be sure to grease muffin tins or use muffin liners. Bake all at once and freeze. Pop in microwave oven as needed.

MICROWAVE METHOD:

Spoon 2 tablespoon batter into paper lines custard cups or microwave muffin pan. Six muffins, 2 minutes; 2 muffins, 1 minute. Add 15 seconds to cooking time after refrigeration.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
