HOT GERMAN POTATO SALAD 
4-6 med. potatoes
6 slices bacon
3/4 c. chopped onion
2 tbsp. flour
1-2 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
3/4 c. water
1/3 c. cider vinegar

Cook unpeeled potatoes until tender. Do not overcook. Cool and peel. quarter each potato and slice thinly, set aside. Fry bacon and onion until bacon crisps and onion is tender. (Chop bacon into small pieces before frying.) Add flour, salt, and pepper to bacon drippings. Heat stirring constantly. Gently stir in potatoes, water, and vinegar. Heat thoroughly. Makes 4-6 servings. Goes well with bratwurst or sausage.
