PORK CHOP WITH CORN DRESSING | |
1 can cream corn 1 egg, beaten 1/2 tsp. sugar 3 tbsp. melted fat 6 pork chops 1/2 tsp. salt 7 slices day old bread 1 c. hot water Pour corn in mixing bowl. Add egg, salt and sugar; mix well. Cut bread into cubes; mix with corn mixture. Add more or less bread cubes to make dressing stiff enough to hold shape. Brown pork chops in skillet, salt to taste; drain of fat and add to corn dressing. Divide dressing into 6 parts and heap 1 part on each chop. Pour water carefully around chops, but not on dressing. Bake, uncovered in 350 degree oven for 1 hour or until chops are tender. Serves 6. |
