AU GRATIN POTATOES 
1/4 c. butter
1/4 c. flour
2 c. milk
1/2 tsp. salt
5 or 6 med. potatoes, peeled and sliced
1 c. shredded cheese (Longhorn or Cheddar)
1/2 c. Parmesan cheese
Bread crumbs

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Place potatoes in pan of water. Add 1/2 teaspoon salt. While potatoes are cooking make sauce. In medium saucepan, melt 1/4 cup butter. Add flour and stir until well blended. Slowly add milk, stirring constantly. Cook until slightly thickened. Add cheeses to milk mixture and stir until cheeses are melted. By now, potatoes should be done. Drain potatoes. Pour into well greased 2 quart casserole dish. Pour sauce over the top and sprinkle bread crumbs over the top. Bake 30 to 35 minutes. Let cool 15-20 minutes before serving.
