PLUM CAKE 
1/2 c. each butter and sugar
1 c. sifted flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. sugar
2 tsp. cinnamon
2 eggs
1 tsp. baking powder
10-12 pitted prune plums, cut in halves

Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs and beat well. Add sifted dry ingredients and mix carefully. Spread batter in buttered and floured 8x8x2 inch pan. Arrange plums in dough, skin side down. Sprinkle sugar and cinnamon over top. Bake in 350 degree oven 40 minutes or until lightly browned and toothpick comes out clean.
