RED VELVET POUND CAKE 
1 1/2 c. Crisco
3 c. sugar
3 c. plain flour
7 eggs
1 1/2 oz. red food coloring
7 oz. sweet milk
2 tsp. vanilla
A little bit of butter flavoring
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt

Cream Crisco and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time, and beat well. Sift dry ingredients together. Add mixture alternately with milk. Add flavoring and coloring. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 1/2 hours in a tube pan. Frost with cream cheese frosting.

CREAM CHEESE FROSTING:

8 oz. cream cheese
1 stick butter
1 box confectioners' sugar
1 tsp. vanilla

Blend all ingredients together. If too stiff, add a few drops of water.
