RAISED MEATBALLS 
4 slices bread
1/2 c. milk
2 eggs, beaten
1 lb. ground beef
3/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
2 tbsp. onion, chopped
2 tsp. baking powder
1 can condensed cream of mushroom soup
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 c. milk

Soak bread in 1/2 cup milk, add eggs, ground beef, salt, pepper, onion and baking powder. Mix lightly but well. Shape in balls size of walnuts. Brown in small amount of fat and place in greased baking dish. Mix the soups together and milk. Pour over meatballs and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
