SPICY PUMPKIN CAKE 
1 (2 layer size) pkg. size yellow cake mix
1 (8 1/2 oz.) can applesauce
1 c. canned pumpkin
3 eggs
1/4 c. milk
1 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
1/4 tsp. ground cloves
1/2 c. finely chopped, peeled apples
1/2 c. chopped nuts

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and lightly flour a 13 x 9 x 2 inch baking pan; set aside. Combine yellow cake mix, applesauce, pumpkin, eggs, milk, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves; beat on low speed until well blended. Beat on medium speed for 2 minutes. Fold in chopped apple and chopped nuts. Bake at 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. Place cake on wire rack, cool thoroughly.

Combine 1 cup whipped cream, 2 tablespoons honey, and 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon; beat until soft peaks form. Spread on top of cake.

So perfect!! Honestly this is almost the best tasting cake I've ever eaten! We did not add the nuts, and we did add a thin layer of cream cheese frosting after cooling, and it was spectacular!
