CHERRY - COCONUT BARS 
1 c. flour
1/2 c. butter (softened)
3 tbsp. powdered sugar

Cream sugar and butter. Stir in flour and press into an 8 inch square baking dish. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes at 350 degrees. 1 c. sugar 1/4 c. flour 1/2 tsp. baking powder 2/3 c. chopped Maraschino cherries 1 tsp. vanilla 3/4 c. chopped nuts 1/2 c. shredded coconut 1/4 tsp. salt

Combine above ingredients and spread over hot pastry. Bake an additional 20 to 25 minutes. Cut into bars or squares.
