HOT GERMAN POTATO SALAD 
4 slices bacon
3/4 c. vinegar
3/4 c. water
Brown sugar to taste
1 tbsp. cornstarch mixed with 1/4 c. water
Salt to taste
Cooked new potatoes

Cook bacon, reserve 2 tablespoons fat and saute onion in it. Add vinegar and water. Add brown sugar to taste. Add cornstarch mixed with 1/4 cup water to thicken. Salt to taste. Pour over cooked new potatoes and serve hot.
