COUNTRY CAPTAIN CHICKEN | |
1/3 c. flour 2 tsp. curry powder 1 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. garlic salt 1/4 tsp. pepper 1 (3 lb.) frying chicken 1/3 c. butter 1 c. sliced onions 1 c. ketchup 1 c. water 1/4 c. raisins 1 c. green peppers, chopped 1/4 c. sliced almonds Combine flour, curry powder, salt, and pepper. Coat chicken in flour mixture; brown chicken in butter. Add onions; cook until limp. Add ketchup, water, and raisins; cover and simmer for 45 minutes. Add peppers and continue cooking for 15 minutes. Serve on rice. |
