CHEESE DANISH | |
1/2 c. warm water, 110 degrees 1 pkg. dry yeast 2 1/2 c. biscuit mix 1 beaten egg 1 tbsp. sugar 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened 1/2 c. sugar 1 tbsp. lemon juice 1/4 c. jam Dissolve yeast, stir in biscuit mix, egg, 1 tablespoon sugar and mix well. Knead well. Roll dough on greased cookie sheet, oblong. Set aside. Mix remaining ingredients, excluding jam. Spread in center of dough. Make 3 inch long cuts about 1 inch apart on both sides of dough and fold strips at angle onto center mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for approximately 20 minutes. Five minutes before done, spread jam on top. Serve warm or cold. |
