PEPPER STEAK 
2 to 3 lbs. roast beef (either eye or rump roast)
2 lg. cans brown gravy
1 lg. onion
1 lg. green pepper
1 can or 1 lb. mushrooms & garlic powder
Salt & pepper
Minute Rice

Cut roast into bite size pieces and brown in frying pan. Cut up onion and green pepper. In medium size roasting pan, add brown gravy, mushrooms, green peppers, onions and roast. Add garlic powder and salt and pepper to taste. Simmer for a minimum of 2 hours. The longer you cook this, the better it is - by keeping the flame to a minimum you can prepare this meat at noon and let it simmer until 5:00. When ready to serve prepare the Minute Rice. Serve pepper steak over a bed of rice.
