CHRISTMAS HAM
spiraled sliced Holiday ham (bigger the better)
1 tbsp. butter
1 cup brown sugar
1 (20 oz.) can pineapple slices in juice
clover honey
whole cherries, for garnish (the ones that come in a jar)
aluminum foil
a big roasting pan to put the ham in

Preheat oven to 250°F. Remove all packaging materials from ham and place directly into roasting pan. Wrap the ham in the aluminum foil. Bake at 250°F for about 12 to 15 minutes per pound.

With about 45 minutes to go, prepare the honey/sugar mix.

In a small saucepan melt a tablespoon of butter. Pour in brown sugar and heat until liquid. Remove from heat. Separate the pineapple slices from the pineapple juice and set aside.

About the last 1/2 hour of baking pull out the ham. Mix a little honey in with the brown sugar using a pastry or silicone brush. Brush the honey/sugar mix onto the outside of the ham. Pour the reserved pineapple juice over the top. Place a few sliced pineapples on the top of ham. Re-cover ham with foil and finish baking until internal temperature reaches 160°F on a meat thermometer.

Just before serving, place whole cherries in the center of pineapple rings.
