JO FROGER COOKIES 
7 1/2 c. flour
1 tbsp. salt
1 tbsp. ginger
1 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. allspice
2 tsp. baking soda
2 c. dark molasses
2 c. sugar
1 c. shortening
3/4 c. water
1/4 c. rum

Sift dry ingredients (except sugar and soda). Combine in a separate bowl, water, rum, soda and molasses. Cream shortening and sugar in a separate bowl from the others. Add the 3 parts. Chill overnight. Roll 1/4 inch thick. Cut with 2 pound coffee can or 4 inch cutter. Bake on greased sheet. Bake 10-12 minutes at 375 degrees. Let cool on sheet for several minutes before removing. Store in 2 pound coffee can with lid.
