JAPANESE CRESCENTS 
1/4 lb. butter
2 tbsp. sugar
Pinch of salt
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 1/4 c. sifted flour
1 c. chopped pecans
Enough confectioners' sugar to roll cookies

Soften butter; add sugar, salt and vanilla. Beat until fluffy. Add flour and nuts. make into crescent shapes. Place on ungreased cookie sheet and bake at 325 degrees until slightly brown. Cool; roll in confectioners' sugar.
