OATMEAL BREAD 
4 c. water
1 tsp. salt
1 c. molasses
1 tbsp. lard
2 c. rolled oats
1 yeast cake
1 c. lukewarm water
2 qts. flour

Take water, salt, molasses and lard. Place on the fire and when it begins to boil, add oats. Boil 3 minutes. When cool add yeast dissolved in lukewarm water, and flour. Knead thoroughly. Let rise overnight. Shape into loaves. Let rise and bake 1/2 hour (350 degrees).
