MAPLE PECAN POUND CAKE | |
3 c. plain flour 1/2 tsp. baking soda Dash of salt 6 egg yolks 3 c. sugar 1 c. butter 3 tbsp. maple flavoring 1 c. chopped pecans 6 beaten egg whites 1 c. sour cream Cream well butter and sugar; add egg yolks one at a time, beat well after each yolk. Combine flour, soda and salt. Add flour alternately with sour cream. Add flavoring and nuts. Beat egg whites until stiff; fold into batter. Bake in greased and floured tube pan for 1 1/2 hours at 300 degrees, cool well in pan. |
