RUSSIAN TEA CAKES 
1 c. soft butter
1/2 c. powdered sugar
1 t. vanilla
2¼ c. flour (sifted Gold Medal)
1/4 t. salt
3/4 c. finely chopped nuts
extra powdered sugar (for rolling)

Mix together butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla. Add flour, salt and nuts. Chill dough. Roll in 1 in. balls. Place 2¼ in. apart on ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake until set but not brown (10-12 min.) at 400°F. While still warm, roll in powdered sugar.

Cool and roll in powdered sugar again.
