ALMOND ICE BOX COOKIES 
1 c. sugar
1 lb. butter
1/2 lb. almond or kernel paste - broken or grated
4 c. flour, bread - not sifted
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream together butter, sugar and paste. Add flour and vanilla. Shape into 5 rolls, chill and slice. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes or until slightly brown at edges. (Optional - when still warm roll in sugar). Yield: approximately 100 cookies.
