AUNT RENIE'S NEW YORK CHEESECAKE | |
1 1/2 graham cracker crumbs 1/4 c. sugar 6 tbsp. butter, melted 5 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened 3 tbsp. flour 1 3/4 c. sugar 3 tbsp. vanilla 3 tbsp. lemon juice 5 eggs and 2 yolks 1/4 c. whipped cream Combine cracker crumbs, sugar and butter. Put into 10 inch springform pan and refrigerate. Beat cream cheese until soft. Add flour and mix well. Add sugar, vanilla, lemon juice and eggs and mix well. Add the whipped cream. Pour into chilled crust. Bake at 500 degrees for 12 minutes then at 200 degrees for 45 minutes. Turn off the oven, leaving cake in oven for 15 more minutes. Remove cake from oven and cool for 1 hour, then refrigerate at least 5 hours. Serves 12 to 16. |
