HOT MULLED CIDER 
2 qts. cider

Put in cloth and tie: 1 tsp. whole allspice 1 tsp. whole cloves 1/4 tsp. salt Dash ground nutmeg (optional) 4 inches stick cinnamon

Slowly bring to a boil. Cover and simmer 20 minutes. Remove spices. Serve in warmed mugs.
