MEXICAN LASAGNE 
8 oz. lasagne
1 lb. ground beef
1/4 c. chopped onion
1/4 c. chopped green pepper
16 oz. jar mild taco sauce
1/2 c. water
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/4 tsp. basil
1/2 tsp. chili powder
1 c. chopped lettuce
1 c. chopped tomato
2 c. shredded cheddar cheese
1 c. shredded Mozzarella cheese

Cook lasagne according to package directions for 10 minutes. Drain.

Meanwhile, brown beef, onion and pepper. Drain off fat. Stir in taco sauce, water, salt, pepper, basil and chili powder; simmer 5 minutes. Pour 1/2 cup meat sauce on bottom of 13"x9" pan, arrange 3 pieces lasagne lengthwise over sauce. Pour 1 cup meat sauce over lasagne; sprinkle 1/2 cup tomato and 1 cup cheese (Mozzarella and cheddar mixed) in layers over sauce. Repeat layer of lasagne, 1 cup meat sauce, add 1 cup lettuce, 1/2 cup tomato and 1 cup cheese mix. Top with remaining lasagne and meat sauce. Sprinkle cheese over sauce. Cover with foil, bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Remove foil and bake 5 to 10 minutes more. Let stand 10 minutes before cutting.
