PEACH COBBLER 
2 c. fresh, sliced peaches
1 c. sugar
1/4 lb. butter

BATTER:

1 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
3/4 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
3/4 c. milk

Mix peaches and sugar; let stand while mixing batter. Melt 1/4 pound butter in a 2-quart casserole.

BATTER: Mix dry ingredients, beat in milk until lumps are gone. Pour batter into melted butter. Do not stir. Spoon sliced peaches over batter. Do not stir. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes or until done.
