CURT'S CHRISTMAS CAKE | |
3 c. flour 1 tsp. cinnamon 1/2 tsp. nutmeg 2 tsp. baking soda 2 c. sugar 1/2 tsp. cloves 1/2 tsp. salt 1 c. butter 1/2 c. white raisins 1/2 c. dates 1/2 c. raisins 1 egg 2 c. buttermilk 1/2 c. chopped nuts Cut butter into first eight ingredients. Save 1 cup of mixture to top cake later before baking. Into flour mixture pour the next six ingredients. Mix with a spoon. Pour batter into 9 1/2 c 13 inch pan. Top with left over crumbs. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 to 60 minutes. |
