MORAVIAN SUGAR CAKE 
1 c. hot mashed potatoes
1 pkg. yeast
1 c. granulated sugar
1/2 c. Crisco
4 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. salt
2 eggs
4 c. flour
2 c. brown sugar
4-6 tbsp. butter, melted
Canned milk
Cinnamon

Add sugar, butter, Crisco and salt to hot mashed potatoes. Dissolve yeast in 1/2 cup warm water. Add to lukewarm potato mixture. Cover with Saran Wrap and allow to rise until spongy.

Add slightly beaten eggs to potato mixture. Next stir in flour to form soft dough. Allow to rise overnight or 5 hours in a large bowl covered with plastic wrap.

Knead lightly on floured board. Spread evenly in flat greased pans. Allow to rise until light. Punch thumb in dough and make holes for melted butter and brown sugar. Dribble canned milk over cake and sprinkle with cinnamon.

Bake at 375 degrees for 20 minutes. This freezes well.
