WALNUT DEVIL'S FOOD CAKE 
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 3/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. sweet milk
3/4 c. butter
2 eggs
1 c. warm mashed potatoes
2 squares chocolate
1 c. black walnuts

Cream butter, sugar and egg yolks and then fold in mashed potatoes and melted chocolate. Then add milk and dry ingredients alternately and fold in stiffly beaten egg whites. Bake at 350 degrees. Makes 2 layers. Frost with Caramel or & Minute Frosting.
