MACARONI-CHEESE DELUXE | |
1 (7 oz.) pkg. elbow macaroni (cook until tender) 2 c. sm. curd cottage cheese 1 c. sour cream 1 egg (slightly beaten) 1 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. pepper 8 oz. American sharp cheese (shredded) (I use Kraft Old English sharp slices) Cook macaroni according to directions. Drain well, combine cottage cheese, sour cream, egg, salt, pepper. Add 1 cup of the shredded cheese (save rest for topping). Mix these ingredients all well. Add cooked macaroni, turn into a well greased casserole dish, sprinkle with remaining cheese and sprinkle with paprika. Bake in a moderate oven (360 degrees) for 45 minutes. Serves 6-8. |
