MISSISSIPPI MUD PIE 
1 stick butter
1 c. flour
1/2 c. chopped pecans
1 pkg. (8 oz.) cream cheese
1 c. confectioners' sugar
1 c. whipped topping
2 1/2 c. milk
2 pkg. (sm.) chocolate, butter, pecan or butterscotch instant pudding mix
Coconut, optional
Maraschino cherries, optional

Mix butter, flour and pecans together. Press into 10 inch deep dish pie plate. Bake 20 minutes at 350 degrees. In bowl, mix cream cheese, confectioners' sugar and whipped topping. Spread on cooled crust.

Combine milk and pudding mix; spread on cheese mixture. Top this layer with a layer of whipped topping. Sprinkle with chopped pecans and garnish with coconut or chopped maraschino cherries.
