TURKEY A LA KING | |
2 lg. turkey legs 1/2 cup chopped onion (or more to taste) 1 can peas (drained) 1 can Cream of Mushroom soup Place turkey legs in Crockpot with 1 cup water. Cook on high until meat is pulling away from bones. Remove meat from Crockpot and let cool. When cooled, pull all meat from bones, being careful to remove all bony tendons. Place shredded meat in a large skillet. Add chopped onion, drained peas and the soup that has been diluted with 1/2 cup water. Blend well. Cook on medium-high heat, stirring often, until all flavors have blended and onion is cooked. This is wonderful served over rice. It is a complete meal. Submitted by: Phyllis Chittum |
