MAMA'S GEFILTE FISH PATTIES 
1 jar gefilte fish in liquid broth
1/2 c. Matzo Meal
1/4 c. finely shredded carrot
1/4 c. mayonnaise
1 egg
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. dried dill weed (opt.)
1/8 tsp. pepper
2 tbsp. oil

Drain fish. In large bowl, break fish into small pieces and mash with a fork. Stir in the next 7 ingredients. Using about 1/2 cupful of the mixture, shape into 4 or 5 patties. In large skillet, heat oil over medium heat and fry the patties for 15 minutes or until golden brown. Turn over once and fry for another 15 minutes or until golden brown.
