FOOTBALL STEW 
1 1/2 lbs. cubed stew beef
Salt and pepper to taste
Potatoes, cut in pieces
Onions, chopped
Carrots, chopped
Celery, chopped
1/2 c. tomato juice or single can of V-8
1 tsp. sugar
2 tbsp. tapioca

Put stew beef on bottom of crock pot. Layer potatoes, onions, carrots and celery. Mix together tomato juice, sugar and tapioca and pour over vegetables and meat. Cook on high for 4 hours or on low for 6-8 hours.
