PUMPKIN DATE NUT BREAD 
4 c. sugar
3 1/2 c. pumpkin puree
3 eggs
1 c. oil
5 c. flour
1 tbsp. baking soda
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 1/2 tsp. ground cloves
1 tsp. salt
1 c. chopped dates
2 c. black walnuts (chopped)

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease four 4x8 inch loaf pans.

Combine sugar, pumpkin and eggs in large bowl. Beat until well blended. Add oil and beat again. Blend in flour, soda, cinnamon, cloves and salt. Add dates and nuts.

Fill each pan 3/4 full. Bake 1 hour or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool. May be frozen indefinitely.

Note: This is a large recipe that makes great holiday gifts.
