FLAKY PIE CRUST 
3 c. flour
1 1/3 c. shortening
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 egg
5 tbsp. vinegar
5 tbsp. water

Cut shortening into flour, which has been sifted with baking powder. Break egg into a cup, add vinegar and water; beat slightly. Mix into shortening and flour mixture. Makes 3 crusts.
