5 eggs, separated
1 c. sugar
1 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 qt. fresh strawberries (or peaches, sliced)
2 c. Dream Whip

Beat egg yolks with 1/2 cup sugar until thick and lemon colored. Add vanilla. Beat egg whites until almost stiff. Add 1/2 cup sugar and beat until very stiff. Fold yolks into whites. Fold flour, baking powder and salt into egg mixture.

Spread batter onto wax paper lined 10"x15" jelly roll pan. Bake 12 minutes at 375 degrees. Do not over bake. Turn hot cake onto a linen towel sprinkled with powdered sugar. Roll up and cool. Remove wax paper and spread with whipped cream and strawberries. Roll up and refrigerate. Cut in slices to serve. Garnish with whipped cream and a fresh strawberry.
