CHERRY OATMEAL COOKIES 
1 c. butter
2 eggs, beaten
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking soda
2 c. rolled oats
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. cherry juice
3 c. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. cherries

Cream butter and sugar. Add beaten eggs, cherry juice and vanilla. Beat well. Sift dry ingredients together, add to first mixture and stir in rolled oats and cherries. Shape in small balls (1 inch diameter). Place on greased cookie sheet and top with a cherry half. Bake at 350 degrees about 12 minutes. Yields six dozen cherries.
