BEANS ABRUZZESE 
1 lb. fresh or frozen green beans
1 med. to lg. onion, diced
2 potatoes, sliced optional
Oil, enough to grease pan
2 dried hot peppers, optional
1 or 2 cloves of garlic, crushed

Grease a 1 or 1 1/2 quart casserole with oil. Add crushed garlic and diced onion to beans for zest, add hot peppers and remove after cooking. I leave them in. If you prefer, add potatoes. Cover with foil; heat in 350 degree oven until tender, about 20 to 30 minutes.
