BOSTON BAKED BEANS 
1 1/2 lb. pea beans or yellow eye or kidney beans
1/2 lb. salt pork
1 tsp. dry mustard
1 tsp. baking soda1 onion
2 tbsp. sugar
1 1/2 tbsp. salt
2 tbsp. molasses

Soak beans overnight. Rinse and heat to boiling, drain. Cut salt pork in half. Score. Place one piece in bottom of pot. Fill pot half full of beans. Place pealed onion on top. Put rest of beans in pot.

Add dry ingredients. Mix rest of beans - put salt pork on top. Add molasses. Cook in bean pot in 350 degree oven or crock pot 3 to 4 hours. Add water to top to keep moist.
