1 c. butter
1 c. peanut butter
1 c. sugar
1 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
Sugar, nuts, chocolate kisses or jam

In a bowl beat first 6 ingredients until fluffy. Add next 4 ingredients. Shape into 1 inch balls and roll in sugar. Place on ungreased sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 12 minutes or until brown. Immediately press a nut or candy into cookie top. Cool.
