SWEET POTATO CASSEROLE 
Sweet potatoes or yams
1/2 c. white sugar
3 eggs, beaten
4 tbsp. sugar
1 sm. can crushed pineapple, drained
2 tsp. vanilla

If canned sweet potatoes are used, enough for 4 cups mashed potatoes. If raw potatoes are used, 2 1/2 pounds are needed.

Mash potatoes and mix all ingredients together. If too thin, add a small amount of flour or a little cornstarch.

TOPPING:

3/4 c. sifted flour
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/3 c. butter
1/2 c. chopped nuts

Mix dry ingredients. Cut in butter. Sprinkle over potato mixture. Add 1/2 cup chopped nuts over crumbs in pan.

Put potato mixture in 8x8-inch pan or equivalent size. Sprinkle crumbs over potatoes. Add chopped nuts over crumbs. Bake at 325 degrees for 15-20 minutes.
