MRS. LYONS ORANGE BREAD 
2 c. flour
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. milk
1/2 c. orange water
1 egg
2 tsp. baking powder
Peel of 8 oranges, cut fine (about 2 heaping cupfuls)

Cover peel with water and cook ten minutes. Drain, add more water and cook until tender (about 20 minutes) and save 1/2 cup of this orange water. Add one cup of the sugar and cook with peel until well blended. Mix the egg, milk, and orange water; sift the flour, baking powder and remaining 1/2 cup of sugar and add to the first mixture. Mix well. Add the peel last and bake at 350 degrees for about 1 hour. Makes 2 loaves. Slice thin to serve for tea.
