CHRISTMAS PICKLES 
1 1/4 c. white sugar
1 medium onion, chopped fine
1 tsp. celery seed
3 tbsp. vinegar
1 tbsp. prepared horseradish
1 qt. dill pickles

Drain 1 quart dill pickles and cut in strips. Place back in jar and add ingredients. Leave in refrigerator; shake often to dissolve sugar.
