FLAKY HOT WATER PASTRY | |
1/2 c. boiling water 1/4 c. vegetable shortening 1 1/2 c. sifted enriched flour 1/2 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt 1 tsp. sugar Pour boiling water over shortening in mixing bowl. Stir until smooth and well blended. Cool. Combine remaining dry ingredients in sifter. Sift over cooled shortening. Stir only enough to mix well. Chill before rolling. Make 18 inch two pie crust. |
