PRETZEL RECIPE | |
2 2/3 c. crushed pretzels 1 1/2 sticks melted butter 1 sm. container Cool Whip 1 c. sugar 3 c. boiling water 1/2 tsp. Knox gelatin 3 tbsp. sugar 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened 2 pkg. strawberry Jello 1 (16 oz.) pkg. frozen strawberries Mix together pretzels, gelatin, butter and sugar. Press into a 9 x 13 inch baking dish. Save 3 tablespoons for topping. Bake at 400 degrees for 5 minutes. Mix in separate bowl, Cool Whip, cream cheese and 1 cup sugar. Allow pretzel crust to cool and pour Cool Whip mixture over it. In a separate bowl, dissolve Jello in 3 cups of boiling water. Mix in frozen strawberries. Allow mixture to thicken slightly before pouring over Cool Whip mixture. Allow layers to set in refrigerator and then serve. |
