RED VELVET POUND CAKE 
1 1/2 c. Crisco
3 c. sugar
3 c. plain flour
7 egg
1 1/2 oz. red food coloring
7 oz. sweet milk
2 tsp. vanilla
Little butter flavoring
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt

Cream Crisco and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time. Sift dry ingredients and add with milk. Add flavorings and coloring. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 1/2 hours.

CREAM CHEESE ICING:

8 oz. pkg. cream cheese
1 box powdered sugar
1 stick butter
2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. nuts (optional)

Cream cheese and butter. Add sugar and then vanilla. Cream until smooth. Add nuts.
