SPINACH AU GRATIN | |
1 1/2 tbsp. flour 1/4 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. pepper 1/2 tsp. dry mustard 1/2 tsp. monosodium glutamate 2 tbsp. butter 2/3 c. milk 3/4 c. grated cheese 1 (15 oz.) can spinach, drain 1/3 c. corn flakes, crumbled or fine dry bread crumbs Blend flour and seasonings into melted butter. Pour in milk and cook until thickened, stirring continuously. Add 1/2 cup of the cheese and well drained spinach; mix. Pour into a casserole dish. Mix crumbs with remaining cheese; sprinkle over spinach. Bake at 375 for 25 minutes, until crumbs are browned. Garnish with sliced boiled eggs, if desired. |
