AUNT'S BLACKBERRY CAKE 
2 c. plain flour
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter
1 1/2 c. blackberries
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. allspice
2 eggs

Cream sugar and butter. Add eggs. Sift in dry ingredients. Add berries. (Batter will be stiff.) Bake for 25 minutes in a 350 degree oven. Two 9 inch cake pans.

ICING:

9 tbsp. butter
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
4 1/2 tbsp. milk
2 1/4 c. powdered sugar

Bring to a boil all but powdered sugar. Remove from heat and add sifted powdered sugar. Pour icing in between layers and on top.
