BETTER 'N BOSTON BAKED BEANS 
Mix together:

1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. water

Add:

1 tbsp. garlic vinegar
1 tsp. dry mustard
2 tbsp. molasses
1/2 tsp. salt

Cook this mixture for 5 minutes.

Set oven for 350 degrees.

Cut into thin slices 1 large onion.

Open 2 (20 ounce) cans baked beans.

Alternate layers of onions and beans in large casserole. Pour in the hot sugar mixture. Cover and bake 45 minutes. Fry 6 slices cut up bacon and drain fat. Place bacon pieces on top of beans and continue baking uncovered for 25 more minutes. 6 to 8 servings. Freezes well.
