APPLESAUCE CAKE 
1 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. butter
1 1/2 c. applesauce, sweetened and cold
2 heaping c. flour
1 c. raisins
1 c. chopped nuts
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. each cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves
2 sq. chocolate, melted

Mix all ingredients. Bake at 325 degrees. Test after 1 hour for doneness.

Can also be made into a fruit cake with the addition of candied fruit, but requires a longer baking time.
